Our Mission

Boro'd Tyme is a family run apparel store. Our goal is to bring the art of Japanese boro to a modern audience.

We were started by a mother and daughter who believe that our relationship with clothes can be different. With the immense number of fast-fashion locations and over consumption of things, it's easy to take our clothing for granted.

Our philosophy at Boro's Tyme is that we should make the most of those things already around us. The Japanese boro technique perfectly embodies this idea; using the old clothes you have to make something new out of it. That's why all of our clothing, from the jackets, to pants, to hats, are all individually handmade and unique items.

We are also happily selling crochet and knitted items, including hats, scarves, and cowls. On top of bringing the world of boro to the West, we'd also like to bring other beautiful, unique, handmade pieces to our visitors.
